Mission State
Our name identifies our mission. Our aim is to train and teach Christians to leave a legacy of faith, gifting and purpose for the upcoming generations…to pass the baton, as it were, to those running behind us. Our heart is to reach outside the four walls
of our local fellowship to minister healing to the hurting, salvation to the lost and hope to the hopeless.
A Community of Faith
Our church is not just about a weekly service on a Sunday morning or an occasional Bible study. We are a community of faith sharing our lives together throughout the week as well. Our community may offer weekly meetings, support groups and mission trips, but these are just the outward signs of life of this “Body of Christ.”
We believe that training and equipping of the saints takes place inside the four walls while ministry occurs outside the four walls. We believe that every Christian is given spiritual gifts with which to serve the Body of Christ. These gifts can be likened to spiritual “power” tools used to accomplish the will and purposes of God in the earth today. Our common faith in our Lord Jesus paints the way we “do life together” and is the undercurrent of all our social interactions. We share our joys, successes and good times. We also share our hurts, disappointments and encourages us to trust in God whatever the circumstance. As the Apostle Paul wrote, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
We Are Followers
Ultimately, Christians are merely followers of Jesus. We aspire to His teachings, we are taught by the Bible, and are daily surrendering our lives to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This is what is meant by the proclamation, “Jesus is Lord,” that has become a cliché in today’s lexicon. In the simplest terms, it means we allow God, in the person of Jesus, to take the driver’s seat and we go along for the ride!
Popular culture is in direct conflict with this approach to life, so we find that we need a support group of fellow believers to help us on this journey. That is what our church community is all about. We have people in many different stages of that journey. Whether you’re a seeker and not sure what you believe yet, a new believer struggling with your new identity in Christ or a veteran Christian, you’ll find others here that you can connect with right where you are.
We look forward to taking the journey with you!
We Are Spirit-Filled
We are a Full-Gospel, Spirit-filled fellowship that seeks to walk in step with what the Holy Spirit has said in the Word and is speaking in our hearts. We believe that Jesus is the same today as He was when He walked upon this earth. He performed daily the will of God. God’s will has not changed. Jesus heals the sick today. We expect signs and miracles to confirm the Word of God according to Mark, chapter sixteen. We believe that spiritual gifts are relevant today according to 1 Corinthians, chapter twelve, Ephesians, chapter four and Romans, chapter twelve. Every believer is to come short in no gift until Jesus comes again according to 1 Corinthians 1:7. At that time, gifts will no longer be necessary. We believe that “normal” church is that which is portrayed in the New Testament, NOT what most traditional churches view as “normal” today.
Our Music
The music we sing is a blend of Contemporary, Hymns and Praise and Worship by Integrity, Maranatha, Hillsong and the Vineyard. We also sing original worship songs written by our Pastor. Our live band consists of keyboard, drums, rhythm guitar, bass guitar, electric guitar and occasional harmonica.
